The Samoan Congregational Christian Church of South Los Angles, United Church of Christ's Vision
for the church is rooted in God and in unity of the Body of Christ. It has been formulated and nurtured in the infallible
Word of God, Spirit-anointed servant leadership, and a genuine heart of love for all people. We are committed to the
idea that vibrant Samoan churches in the 21st century must be sincerely committed to conversion and growth. Our
purpose as the Body of Christ is to sustain and expand the loving presence of our Lord Jesus within the multi-ethnic
communities that is prevalent in the Southern Los Angeles area.
We realized the need for a new perspective in the Samoan ministry to address the changing needs and challenges facing
the Samoan people who have migrated to the United States. We recognized that the first Samoans migrated to the U.S.
were faced with challenges of acculturation. Being mindful of that, our vision is to help establish
and sustain the faith of the Samoan population throughout the year and our goal is to take a proactive approach
in the faith development of various Samoan communities. Our belief is that Christ has better served
in providing the much-needed resources for our community of faith and the neighboring communities. We believe our
service to the community will help facilitate a holistic, spiritual-growth, and well-being of all Christians.
The SCCCSLAUCC is committed to serve as a religious and social gathering resort to the Christian community
in the City of Carson. We are dedicated to fellowship with other faith communities, Christian or non-Christian.
The SCCCSLAUCC, spiritually conceived, is a living organism which expresses itself through dedicated Samoan
Christians, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Our mission is to help develop a lifestyle of evangelism,
worship, fellowship, and discipleship. We strive to produce Samoan doers of the Word to transform, not merely inform.
